HESSCO Seeks Meals On Wheels Drivers
This volunteer opportunity would take one hour per week. Westwood and towns nearby have a need for drivers.

HESSCO (Health and Social Services Consortium) Elder Services seeks volunteers in Medfield, Dedham, Walpole and Canton to be drivers for their Meals on Wheels program. This program, which delivers prepared meals to homebound elders, is in search of volunteers to contribute approximately one hour per week to elders who would have difficulties getting their own meals otherwise. HESSCO serves 12 communities in south Norfolk County: Canton, Dedham, Foxboro, Medfield, Millis, Norfolk, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Walpole, Westwood and Wrentham. Volunteers are needed in all twelve communities (including Westwood, MA), but the need is particularly great in Medfield, Dedham, Walpole and Canton at this time.
Drivers spend approximately one hour a week from 11:00 AM to 12 noon delivering meals. Drivers can choose the one day of the week that works best for them.
Please consider volunteering for this worthwhile cause. HESSCO’s goal is to help keep elders in their own home for as long as possible. Providing a meal, a wellness check, and a friendly face each day is just one way to accomplish this goal.
