Italian Restaurant IL Massimo Coming to Dedham's #LegacyPlace

Restaurant Sibling to Federal Hill's Massimo to Occupy Former Met Bar's Location by the End of 2018.

IL Massimo, the restaurant sibling of Providence's Federal Hill's Massimo , will be opening at Legacy Place in Dedham, MA by the end of 2018. It will occupy the location of the former Met Bar and Grill , which closed preeminently on August 6. IL Massimo will offer "seasonal offerings inspired by regional cuisines of Italy " including "Spaghettoni alla Carbonara with Guanciale and Farm Fresh Egg,Pesce al Guazzetto featuring Local Fish with Little Neck Clams in a Tomato Sea Broth, and the House-aged Rib-eye 'Fiorentina.'"

The new restaurant promises its predecessor's al fresco dining option; however, the restaurant itself will be redone with yellow walls, dark wood, a "farmer's table," and a bar. Said bar will feature "offerings to include unique Italian wines from small boutique Italian winemakers and a cellar selection from Italy and California. Beer on tap, cocktails and a large selection of classic Italian Amari, grappa, and many other Italian liquors will also be available. " There will be a private dining room for up to 40 people with both a fireplace and A/V capacities, a great option for all the office complexes in the Dedham, Westwood, Norwood area.

"[Massimo has] built an incredible legacy in Providence, one we’re thrilled to continue among Legacy Place’s diverse dining offerings,” says Whitney MacLeod, General Manager of Legacy Place.
