Mary Poppins Interactive Movie Experience Coming to the Library
Westwood Public Library to Show Disney Classic with Pizzaz on July 11

On July 11, the main branch of the Westwood Public Library will be showing Mary Poppins at 6 pm. However, this will not be a typical showing of the time-honored Disney film: it is going to be interactive.
According to Head of Children’s Services Lizzy McGovern: “It is interactive because we will be handing out props (mustaches, bubbles, sashes etc.) to the kids when they come in and [as well as] a list of songs and the props that go with it, so when the song comes on we use the corresponding prop to sing along.”
The library suggests that you bring a blanket or a beach chair, and snacks if you want them. “Because we need to know how much of everything to have available this program does require registration (only the children who will be officially participating need to register, parents or other adults and younger siblings are welcome to come without registering),” McGovern explains.
