Needham Community Theatre To Present “Mary Poppins”
Three Westwood residents are performing in the show, and one is involved behind the scenes.
Needham Community Theatre will be putting on Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s beloved musical Mary Poppins this month. The musical draws from the iconic Disney film and also brings in more characters and musical numbers.
Three Westwoodians are appearing onstage: Tim French (Children’s Ensemble), Nathan Lamont (Mr. Banks), and Chrissy Lamont (as the titular Mary Poppins). Chrissy Lamont has previously played Svetlana in Chess and Eva Peron in Evita at Needham Community Theatre. Nathan Lamont (Chrissy’s husband) is the technology director at a communications agency in downtown Boston when not onstage.
Westwood resident Diane Rothauser is the Makeup Designer and Publicity/Marketing Co-Chair on the Board of Needham Community Theatre (NCT). Diane received the 2018/19 EMACT (Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theaters) DASH (Distinguished Achievement Special Honors) Award for “Best Hair and Makeup Design for a Musical” with her team for NCT’s The Little Mermaid.
