New Town Administrator Will Be Christopher Coleman

The Westwood Select Board chose Coleman from a pool of candidates. He replaces longtime town administrator Michael (Mike) Jaillet.

The Westwood Select Board has hired Christopher Coleman to succeed Michael Jaillet as the town’s next Town Administrator. Jaillet is retiring after serving Westwood for thirty-two years.

Coleman, who will join Westwood at the end of November, has served as Assistant Town Manager/Director of Operations in Needham, MA for the past fourteen years. Prior to that, he served as Assistant Town Administrator in Lincoln, MA. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and has completed the Suffolk University and Massachusetts Municipal Association Certificate in Local Government Leadership & Management.

Coleman was selected from an original pool of thirty-eight candidates who applied for the position during the summer. The Westwood Select Board worked with Community Paradigm, an executive recruitment firm with a specialty in municipal searches.
