Niagara Falls' Beauty Wins Over Local Seniors

Seniors from Westwood, Dover, Sherborn, and other local towns went on an overnight trip to Niagara Falls.

Earlier this week, the Westwood Council on Aging took a busload of seniors from Westwood, Dover, Sherborn, and area towns to enjoy beautiful Niagara Falls. The bus left early on Tuesday morning September 10, and arrived late afternoon in Canada.

After settling into their rooms, the seniors enjoyed a delicious dinner at a local restaurant (Betty's) and a night drive to see the Falls in full color display. On Wednesday, the day began with a guided tour of The Niagara Falls and the Visitor Center. From there they traveled to the Whirlpools of Niagara and the colorful Clock Tower.

After a quick lunch, the seniors enjoyed a boat tour up close of the Falls. The evening ended with a delicious dinner at the Skylon Revolving Restaurant that overlooks the Falls. On Thursday, they left Canada at 8am and traveled to Lockport New York to enjoy a narrated cruise on the Erie Canal.
