Powerball Jackpot Estimated at More Than $700 Million

You didn’t win the the Powerball lottery Wednesday night, but neither did anyone else win the estimated $524 million jackpot.

The winning numbers were: 47, 2, 63, 62, 11 and the Powerball of 17. While no one won the jackpot Wednesday, there was a $1 million winner in Massachusetts.

That means Saturday’s jackpot will be an estimated $700 million, the largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history. Find out where to buy tickets in your neighborhood here.

The previous largest was a Mega Millions jackpot of $656 million in 2012. Wednesday night’s $524 million Powerball drawing was the fourth largest Powerball jackpot of all time.

The one-time estimated payout of Powerball for Wednesday was more than $300 million, before taxes, according to the Powerball website.

Powerball is played by residents in 44 states as well as Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Tickets are $2.

The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 292,201,338.
