Select Board Recognizes Girl Scouts and Dedham Dynamos!

The just-renamed board (formerly Westwood's Board of Selectmen) offered congratulations to both groups of young women.

Last night's first-ever meeting of Westwood's Select Board (renamed from the Board of Selectmen as of January 1, 2019) honored two groups of young women from Westwood: Scouts from Girl Scout Troop 74297, and the three cheerleaders from Westwood on the Dedham Dynamos cheer team.

Members of Troop 74297 have earned their Silver Awards. Westwood Patch spoke with two recipients in August about their service projects.

In November, Westwood Patch publicized the Dedham Dynamos's efforts to fundraise for Nationals. They went to American Youth Cheer's Nationals in Decemeber, and placed third.
