Simple Recycling's Clothing Recycling Coming to Westwood

Westwood residents can begin to put out used clothing on their regular recycling week starting December 10.

If you are looking for another way to rehome your used clothing, household goods, and accessories, Westwood will begin to participate in Simple Recycling's program on December 10, 2018. Simple Recycling is a for-profit company who will take your clothing and "All of the materials are graded and sorted locally and/or regionally based on quality and condition. The top quality materials will be resold to local thrift outlets, mid grade is exported to international markets and “unusable” items are processed for raw materials."

Westwood residents will receive pink bags from Simple Recycling via postal mail. These bags can be filled with: clothing, shoes, jewelry, toys, blankets, pillows, backpacks, and more. Residents can contact Simple Recycling if they need more bags. These bags are to be left out on your household's regular recycling week.
