
Mathematics teacher Mike Mao won the Wolverine Teacher of the Year Award, according to hometownweekly.net.
Mao, who has taught at the high school for 14 years, was chosen for the Westwood PTO award by student nominations and a vote of administrators and PTO members.
For his win, according to the article, Mao received a standing ovation, a plaque and a check for $1,000 "in recognition of his dedication to Westwood High School."
