University Avenue Business Reports Scam Phone Call

The Westwood Police Department provided the following information. Patch prints all arrests.

Wednesday, June 5

12:56 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of suspicious person on Parker Street. An officer located the person and determined he was not violating the law and is the son of a homeowner on the same street. 

1:45 p.m.: Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Washington Street. A 2004 Toyota collided with a 2006 Ford after the Toyota turned into the right lane and collided with the Ford. There were no injuries as a result.

7:51 p.m.: An officer spoke with the owner of a business on University Avenue after the business owner received a scam phone call saying an electric bill was overdue. The business owner did not send the money being requested by the caller. 

9:33 p.m.: A motor vehicle stop resulted in the criminal summons of a Dover female. She was charged with operating with a revoked registration and an uninsured motor vehicle.
