Westwood Community Chest To Hold Fundraiser At Decor And More

December 6 event will benefit the Westwood non-profit and feature shopping, snacks, and wine,

Westwood Community Chest* (WCC) will hold its annual fundraiser at Decor and More on December 6 from 6pm-8pm. This event will feature hors d'oeuvres and wine, and a portion of proceeds from the sales will be donated to WCC.

Westwood Community Chest's motto is "neighbors helping neighbors." As their website states "Westwood Community Chest is a community-based, non-profit organization that works to improve the well-being and quality of life of the residents of Westwood, Massachusetts. Through our evolving range of programs and services, made available both directly and in collaboration with other organizations and agencies. We offer assistance to Westwood individuals and families of all incomes and ages who have a variety of unmet needs." These unmet needs include everything from camperships for children of single parents to aid with paying for heat for Westwood residents who are in need.

Decor and More's boutique has been a Westwood staple since 1990. It carries a number of popular brands: have something Lilly Pulitzer or a Scout bag on your list of holiday gifts to get? Get it at this event! However, they also carry a good deal of smaller brands which make unique Westwood-themed items and Boston sports team-themed items. If you are planning on picking up some Whim Chocolate (made in Westwood!) as a host or host gift, do it at this event. Have a stackable bracelet fan on your list: Sisco+Berluti bracelets include everything from Red Sox-themed bracelets to bracelets to benefit Westwood's I AM Strong Foundation.

As previously disclosed, a member of my household is on the board of this organization.
