Westwood Nurse Recognized in Boston Globe’s Salute to Nurses
Alacia Miller, RN, a nurse at Hebrew SeniorLife, was recognized by the paper.

Westwood resident Alacia Miller, RN, was in the May 12th edition of the Boston Globe in its annual “Salute to Nurses.” Miller was recognized for her exemplary work at Hebrew SeniorLife (HSL), headquartered in Roslindale.
Miller is one of the twenty-four nurses from Hebrew SeniorLife who were included in the “Salute to Nurses.” She was nominated by Christina Ypsilantis, who said “Alacia is more than just a nurse. Her compassion and dedication is impeccable for a fairly new nurse. She was a nurse on the 3rd Floor South for the past year then transitioned to a position on the RSU. When she told this transition news to her patients on the 3rd floor, they cried with sadness, but also expressed how proud they were of her for furthering her career. She wouldn’t just pass medications and complete interventions, she would sit and visit with patients.”
The annual “Salute to Nurses” section recognizes caregivers whose dedication and caring have saved lives, soothed fears, and eased the pain of countless patients and their families. More than four hundred nominations were received.
