Westwood Resident Wins Scholarship From Legacy Place
Sofia Conte won the Literary Legacy Scholarship for her article on Anthropologie.
Montrose School senior and Westwood resident Sofia Conte recently earned a $1000 scholarship through the Literary Legacy Scholarship program sponsored by Dedham’s Legacy Place. To win, she interviewed a manager at Anthropologie.
The competition matches students from within a 10 mile radius of Legacy Place with a Legacy Place business where they are asked to interview the manager and write an article on what they learned. Conte is passionate about STEM subjects and plans to pursue a degree in engineering next year.
According to the Legacy Literary site:
"Every year Legacy Place hosts a scholarship contest, in which High School Juniors and Seniors within a 10 mi radius can apply for a scholarship. Approved students will be paired up with a Legacy Place business in which they will interview a manager and write a thoughtful article about their learnings. We are happy to award three students with a $500 or $1,000 scholarship based upon their article submissions."
