Westwood Robotics Team Ends 2019 Season On A High Note

Happy National Robotics Week! Westwood Robotics’ 2019 robot, Rampothy, brought FIRST Robotics Competition - Team 1757: Wolverines success at their competition at University of New Hampshire’s (UNH) New England FIRST District FIRST Robotics Competition Event over the weekend of March 29-March 31, 2019. Rampothy finished 21 of 40 robots at the competition. The Wolverines also “were selected to compete in the quarterfinals where we made history successfully executing a challenging plan – one never seen before in the history of the history of FIRST [For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology] robotics,” per the Westwood Robotics’ blog.
The Wolverines will not be resting on their laurels; off-season plans include fixing their t-shirt cannon and cleaning the lab. A year-end banquet will also be held next month.

Team 1757’s success relies not only on the remarkable young men and women who compose all elements of the team, but also its sponsors and mentors. The team is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and members of the community may donate to support these Wolverines if they wish. The team also seeks adult mentors for the 2019-2020 school year, email the team for more information.
