Westwood’s Sharps and Medication Disposal Bins Working Again

Both are Located at the Westwood Police Station

Consider the following two scenarios:

  1. Your doctor changes you from Medication A to Medication B for your ADHD. You don’t want Medication A just sitting where you keep your meds. What do you do?
  2. Your cat, Milo, has diabetes and needs insulin twice a day. Your neighbor’s aunt’s old roommate kept their old syringes in a coffee can, so that’s ok, right?

The answer to both of these is to dispose of both Medication A and the old insulin syringes at their respective receptacles at the Westwood Police Station. Medications can just be disposed of, but sharps are a but more complicated.

The sharps dropoff at the Police Station, be they syringes, lancets, or needles, are only accepted in the sharps container you can get at Town Hall, the Senior Center, Board of Health Office for free.
