Westwood Seniors Visit Eva’s Organic Herb Farm
The seniors went to Eva's Garden in South Dartmouth, where they learned how to grow various herbs and tasted some herbs.
On Thursday September 5, 2019, a group of Westwood seniors headed out to Dartmouth to visit Eva’s Organic Herb Farm.
Eva’s Organic Herb Farm is thirteen acres of cultivated herbs and flowers that Eva sells to restaurants in the Boston area. She has been an organic farmer since the early 1970's; it started as a backyard hobby and is now a thriving business.
Seniors on this day trip learned how to successfully grow organic farm herbs and flowers. They also had the opportunity to taste many unique and unusual herbs picked straight from the farm. A light lunch followed and everyone went home with a bag full of fresh organic herbs.
