Westwood Unveils Fallen Firefighters Memorial
The memorial is located at Westwood's Islington Fire Station on Washington Street.

WESTWOOD, MA — Westwood officials unveiled a memorial on Tuesday that pays tribute to fallen firefighters. The memorial is located at Westwood's Islington Fire Station on Washington Street.
Fire officials along with town officials and members of the Legislature attended the unveiling alongside the families of the firefighters who were honored. Bag pipes played as the ceremony paid tribute to the fallen firefighter listed on the monument's face.
Sen. Mike Rush and Rep. Paul McMurty allocated funds to the town to bring the memorial to fruition.
