Westwood-Walpole-Dedham LWV presents "Zero Carbon Home" March 8

The Westwood-Walpole-Dedham League of Women Voters is taking a slight turn in its Meatless Monday Program. Our March presentation will explain how to cut your heating bill, electric bill, and home's carbon footprint to zero, by someone who did it in Dover.

Dover's David Green, a successful author and entrepreneur, has agreed to share his expertise on March 8 from 7-8:30 pm.

Attendees will receive a free electronic version (for iPad or Kindle) of Mr. Green's highly-acclaimed book Zero Carbon Home.

Green describes himself as "both an energy geek, with a degree in physics from Oxford University, and a finance nerd with an MBA from Harvard Business School. My financial analysis ensured that we only did things that made financial sense as well as energy sense. I am earning a 15% return on my investments in heat pumps, insulation, triple-glazed windows and solar panels, which I call thefab four. Yes, I am a Brit and a Beatles fan."

His work on zero-carbon has appeared on global news media outlets including ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. He has appeared on the websites of the U.S. Department of Energy, Zero Energy Project, Cool Effect and the Green Home Institute.
