Westwood Weekend Stroll Coming December 6-8, 2019
Mark your calendar: the inaugural Westwood Weekend Stroll will be held December 6-8, 2019.

Westwood's first-ever Westwood Weekend Stroll will take place from December 6 to December 8, 2019. According to Select Person and Westwood Weekend Stroll committee member Nancy Hyde, the idea of grouping the many events which occur the first weekend in December came from Westwood Artists. "[They] noticed that many events were occurring that weekend, and asked if [Westwood] could do something event-based akin to what other towns do," says Hyde.
Westwood Weekend Stroll will combine events which are longtime Westwood holiday traditions, newer events, and some brand-new events. On December 6, Westwood Artists’ Marketplace at the Fisher School will take place. On December 7, in addition to the Marketplace, both the First Baptist and First Parish Churches will have fairs (the First Parish church will also have its holiday concert that day). Also, the Westwood Young Women's Club will hold its annual Winterfest that day.
Westwood Weekend Stroll will end on December 8 with the Historical Society having a sing-a-long, as well as the Town Tree Lighting at Town Hall.

"The library is planning to have an event as well, and we will be welcoming groups through November," Hyde comments. She added that the Weekend Stroll Committee is reaching out to town businesses and restaurants to encourage their involvement.
