The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee has posted a Survey Monkey Survey online regarding ”long-range vision for the Town that serves as a guide for future land use and policy decisions. The Comprehensive Plan will describe what Westwood looks like now, where it wants to go, and how it will get there. The Plan will set goals and action strategies to reach its vision over the next decade. Community input helps inform this Plan and defines the Town's collective vision for its future.”

The survey will be up until April 17, 2019.

Chair Jack Wiggins stated in a letter to the citizens of Westwood “The survey contains seventeen multiple choice questions related to various topics covered in the Plan, e.g., land use, housing, economic development, natural environment, transportation, etc. It is just one tool being used to obtain the viewpoints of residents. Survey responses will be compiled and considered by the committee, along with input from public meetings, interviews, and focus groups that will occur throughout the planning process. A survey of this type is not designed to be a scientific sample of the population and its results will not be analyzed statistically. Our objective is to facilitate and encourage input from as many residents as possible.”
