WHS Alum Wins Mass Amateur Golf Competition
Recent Elon University Graduate Patrick Frodigh Hoping to Soon Become a Professional Golfer
Westwood High School alum Patrick Frodigh won the Massachusetts Amateur golf competition on July 13, 2018, at George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park, MA. Frodigh is a recent graduate of Elon University, located in the eponymous city in North Carolina. He received his degree following previous transfers from the University of Denver and University of Louisville.
Frodigh was quoted in the Elon News Network as having told Mass Golf “I grew up playing here a fair amount...I live like 15 minutes away, so I played here with a lot of buddies. It’s nice because it feels like it is in my backyard. It’s not too far away, and I am happy to have won this close to home and to have all my family and friends watching me.” He also reports that he intends to become a professional golfer following this amateur season.
