10th Annual Croquet Classic a Huge Success!
Friends of South Shore Health System raise more than $22,500 for pediatric programs

South Weymouth, Mass., (October 3, 2018) – It was a Wonderland, indeed! On Saturday, September 15, the Friends of South Shore Health System hosted an Alice in Wonderland-themed Croquet Classic – raising more than $22,500 for pediatric programs.
More than 140 community members attended the 10th annual Croquet Classic and Ultimate Lawn Party, held at the historic Daniel Webster Estate. Surrounded by whimsical Alice in Wonderland décor, guests played croquet, lawn games and enjoyed sumptuous food and refreshments.
All proceeds from the event will help purchase equipment and specialty items needed for the health and wellness of pediatric patients at South Shore Health System, which is the parent organization of South Shore Hospital.

The event was sponsored by LINKS (Leaders Involving a New Kind of Support) group, which champions the support of critical pediatric services including Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Specialty Clinics and the Pediatric Emergency Department at South Shore Hospital. Proceeds from past Croquet Classics have provided sleeper chairs for parents staying overnight at the hospital, a hearing screener for newborns, toys for the children’s toy chest and - most notably- the Angel Eye webcams in the NICU and Special Care Nursery.
