A Mashpee company has announced plans to build 500 homes for people over the age of 55 at Union Point.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Mashpee company has announced plans to build 500 homes for people over the age of 55 at Union Point.
Bonvie Homes announced that their development, known as Four Winds at Union Point, include townhomes, condos, and a large clubhouse, according to the Boston Globe.
Company spokesman Rich Carlson said it would be similar to their 750-home development on Cape Cod.

Currently, 700 people live at Union Point, which was formerly the South Weymouth Naval Air Station and then SouthField.
