Actress Selma Blair Lends Weymouth Woman A Helping Hand

Lindsey Main, of Weymouth, told Reuters that the "Cruel Intentions" star bought a mobility bike for her after a 2018 stroke.

WEYMOUTH, MA – A Weymouth woman has gained her mobility back after suffering a stroke with the help of actress Selma Blair. Reuters reported that the "Cruel Intentions" star helped Lindsey Main obtain a mobility bike that insurance would not cover following her 2018 stroke.

Main told Reuters that she was going through physical therapy to regain movement following her stroke when Blair publicly announced she was battling multiple sclerosis. Main told Reuters the two began exchanging messages on social media and Blair offered to buy her the mobility bike, which was not covered under insurance.

The Alinker bike has three wheels with a saddle support. Riders move their legs to push it forward. It’s cost in the United States is about $2,000. It is designed so that users can move around in a near-standing position.
