Boston Marathon Bombing Movie Comes to Quincy

More scenes for the Mark Wahlberg project "Patriots Day" will be filmed on the South Shore this week.

Monday and Tuesday, crews could be seen setting up in the Merrymount neighborhood right off the corner of Sea Street and Samoset Avenue.

Crews will be shooting scenes for the bomber's capture in Watertown, according to CBS Boston. Filmmakers originally wanted to shoot the scene in Watertown, but were denied by the town.

Quincy isn't the only South Shore town where the movie will be shot. Some scenes will be filmed at the movie studio at SouthField in Weymouth.
