Bruins Fan Fest coming to Weymouth!

All welcome to attend!

Boston, MA - The Boston Bruins announced today, August 10, that the Bruins Summer Fan Fest Tour will make a stop in Weymouth, MA after being chosen as the winning submission of the TD Bank Fan Fest Contest. Fans were asked to tell the Bruins why the Fan Fest Tour should stop in their town. The Fan Fest Tour will stop in Weymouth on Friday, August 24 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Weymouth High School (1 Wildcat Way, South Weymouth, MA 02190).
Weymouth resident Jim Flatley had the winning submission. In his submission, he described Weymouth as a "real Hockey Town," mentioning the second new street hockey rink that is being built alongside the existing street hockey rink in Stella Tirrell Park. Over 500 players participate in the Weymouth Street Hockey League, which currently takes place at the existing street hockey rink.
"Weymouth has produced NHL talent in the past, and is proud of its vibrant Youth Hockey, and bustling Street Hockey Programs of today," stated Mayor Bob Hedlund. "We are excited that the Bruins Summer Fan Fest Tour will be making a stop in Weymouth, and we greatly appreciate that some of the proceeds will be donated to the family of Sargent Michael Chesna."
The Bruins will donate brand new Franklin Sports street hockey equipment to the new rink.
A portion of the proceeds from Bruins retail sold at the Weymouth Fan Fest will be donated to the family of fallen Weymouth police officer Michael Chesna.
Please note that fittings for Bruins Academy Learn to Play will not take place at this location.
