Could Union Point Be Amazon's Next Home?
Union Point in Weymouth is expected to make a proposal to bring Amazon to the South Shore.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Could Amazon find a new home in Weymouth? Union Point officials are hoping that the e-commerce giant gives them consideration.
The former South Weymouth Naval Air Station turned residential and business development is hoping to attract Amazon, who is in search for a 100-acre, pad-ready site for their second headquarters. Kyle Corkum, CEO and managing partner of Union Point owner LStar Communities told State House News that they have everything on Amazon's checklist, including mass transit access, sustainability, and the land needed.
Getting selected for the second headquarters could be a large benefit. Amazon is expected to employ up to 50,000 people and invest $5 billion in construction.
