Details of the partnership were disclosed in the responce to the Amazon HQ2 RFP. As noted in the Boston Globe, GE could install sensors on lights to track traffic and direct drivers to available parking or turn restaurant waste into energy and fertilizer for rooftop farms.

The GE deal is the latest for Union Point. Also included in the bid was a note about a company that is working to bring autonomous vehicles to the development to transport people. The name of that company has not been released.
