Ledge Blasting Begins In Weymouth
Intermittent blasting is expected to take place at the Chapman construction site for the next two weeks.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Residents near the Chapman construction site could hear warning signals and intermittent ledge blasting over the next couple of weeks.
The blasts will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Each blast will be preceded by a security check of the area and a series of warning signals.
The blasts were scheduled to begin on Thursday with a sign displaying the signal sequence at the site. Each signal is will be audible at a distance of 250 feet fro the blast site.

The sequence is three audible signal pulses with five minutes to blast and two audible signal pulses with one minute to the blast. There will be one audible signal pulse to signal all clear.
