New Weymouth Landing Restaurant Cuts Ribbon Thursday

BRAINTREE, MA — A new restaurant is coming to the Braintree side of the Weymouth Landing this week.

Bates Bar and Grill at 2 Commercial St. will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday at 11:30 a.m., according to Braintree Mayor Joseph Sullivan's office.

A job post on Craigslist seen by Boston Restaurant Talk late last year indicates that the new restaurant will have a neighborhood pub theme that will service sandwiches, burgers, and pizza.

Bates Bar and Grill will take the spot formerly occupied by the Landing Pub. The owner of the pub, Harry Sarras, also owns the new operation.
