Postponement Of 2021 July 3rd Fireworks In Weymouth

After consulting with town health and public safety officials, the Town of Weymouth is announcing the postponement of the 2021 July 3rd fireworks in Weymouth.

The decision came after a determination that the state-imposed capacity and social distancing guidelines for this event would be virtually impossible to enforce, especially given the added interest with most area July 4th events being cancelled.

The state has also not yet issued the specific imposed standards for this tyoe of event, making the proper planning of such a large-scale event impracticcal in meeting contractual obligation with out fireworks vendor.

The Town has begun discussions with Weymouth 400 to potentially collaborate for an alternative celebration event in the Fall of 2021.
