The Dana-Farber/Brigham & Women's affiliated center resumed normal appointments one day after smoke filled the fourth floor of the building.

WEYMOUTH, MA — The South Shore Hospital cancer center reopened on Tuesday one day after an air handler malfunction forced the evacuation of one of the buildings on the Columbian Street campus.
The Dana-Farber/Brigham & Women's Hospital affiliated center closed on Monday when reports of smoke in the fourth floor of the building forced an evacuation. The building remained closed through the afternoon with appointments canceled and access to the parking garage restricted.
