The National Weather Service has announced a Coastal Flood Advisory for parts of the South Shore, including Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, and Hingham. The advisory is in effect until 2 p.m.

The NWS says flooding of vulnerable shore roads and basements is likely in low lying shoreline areas, including areas that are subjected to backwater flooding in very high tides. Waves are not expected to be significant and any inundation should be under a foot deep.
