WATCH: 'Patriots Day' Trailer Released

WEYMOUTH, MA — The official teaser trailer for Mark Wahlberg's new film Patriots Day has been released.

The teaser footage paints a brief picture of what can be expected in the Boston Marathon Bombing film, based on the fateful day in 2013. Patriots Day follows the story of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis in the events leading up to the bombing and the deadly manhunt that followed.

Film crews shot scenes at the movie studio at Union Point and Merrymount neighborhood in Quincy. Unfortunately, it is not clear whether any scenes shot in the two towns made the teaser trailer. Boylston Street was recreated in Weymouth, but the film also shot some scenes at the finish line before this year's marathon.
