Weymouth 4th Of July 2017: Street Closures, Traffic Details
The fireworks celebration will be held July 3. Here's what you need to know if you're planning on driving.

WEYMOUTH, MA – The Town of Weymouth will host its annual Independence Day celebration on Monday, July 3 at Wessagusset Beach. Family entertainment will be held throughout the evening starting at 5 p.m.
Here's what you need to know if you're planning on driving, according to the Weymouth Police Department:
1. Neck St and River St will be diverted at Lane Beach through the municipal parking lot at approximately 5pm. River St and Neck St will remain open as long as it is safe for pedestrian traffic.
2. Regatta Rd will be one way from Neck St to North St throughout the event or until it becomes unsafe for pedestrians.
3. Boat ramp closes sharply at 5pm.
4. At the conclusion of the event, vehicles parked in the North St Municipal Lot will not be allowed access to North St. All vehicles will exit through the front of the Wessagusset School where they will take out right turn only and then left turn only onto Wadaga Rd to Sea St. Left onto Sea St towards Bridge St. No left turn onto Bridge St.
5. Athens St will be blocked at the conclusion of the event.
6. No traffic will be allowed on Neck St towards Lane Beach until buses have concluded their runs.
7. At the conclusion of the event, River St traffic will be stopped until it is safe for pedestrians to open the road.
8. Be mindful of Fore River Bridge lane reduction
Parking Restrictions on the following streets:
Neck St, Wadaga Rd, Wessagusset Rd ,Great Hill Dr, Stanley St, North St, Regatta Rd, Bradley Rd, Merryknoll Rd, Lovell St, Bradmere Way, Pilgrim Rd, Litchfield St
Other streets may be restricted as deemed necessary
At the conclusion of the event Church St will be blocked at Commercial St (no access to Heights)
Green and East will have a traffic diversion at the conclusion

The Weymouth Police Department has a Zero Tolerance policy on alcohol and underage drinking. The ordinances and laws will be enforced by uniformed officers as well as undercover officers on the beach. No public consumption of alcohol or open containers. Public consumption of marijuana is prohibited by state and local laws. Possession of fireworks is prohibited.
