Weymouth Community Meeting For Proposed Wharf Street Development

The remote meeting to discuss a proposed 84-unit residential project will be July 30 at 7 p.m.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A remote community meeting to discussed a proposed 84-unit residential development on Wharf Street will be held July 30.

The proposal of Michael Kiley of the Quincy-based Heritage Companies has entered into a purchase-and-sale agreement with Francer Industries to purchase the property with a proposal for residential units within two buildings and a restoration of the existing mill structure.

Weymouth Director of Planning and Community Development Robert Luongo said in a public notice the project will need a special permit from the Weymouth Board of Zoning Appeals as well as an order of conditions from the Weymouth Conservation Commission, and that Kiley would like to make a full presentation to the neighborhood before appearing before the boards.

The meeting will be held virtually on July 30 at 7 p.m. because the coronavirus crisis prevent in-person community meetings.
