Weymouth Establishes Small Business Assistance Program
The Small Business Assistance Program is to aid those Weymouth Businesses in need of financial assistance during the coronavirus crisis.
WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth Small Business Assistance Program has been created to help Weymouth businesses in need of financial assistance during the coronavirus crisis.
Eligible, for-profit businesses may apply for the grant. Weymouth has also been awarded additional Community Development Block Grant Funding to assist qualifying small businesses.
The application is open July 1 through Oct. 1 with awards going to qualifying businesses on a first-come, first-serve basis. If funds remain after the initial application period, a second one will be opened until all money is awarded.

These Grants can be used to help address fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, lost sales, lost opportunities, and other working capital expenses that could have been recognized had th COVID-19 pandemic not occurred.
Small businesses are those with fewer than 35 employees, less than $1.5 million in annual revenue and those that are registered in, and in good standing with, the town.

It excludes chains or franchises.
Grant awards will be offered in 3 categories — in amounts up to $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000 depending on eligibility.
