Weymouth Issues Beach Directives Amid Social Distancing
Weymouth is asking that families, or household groups, of 10 or less stay at least 12 feet away from the nearest group while camping out.

WEYMOUTH, MA — As beaches reopen on the South Shore, Weymouth Recreation has recommendations for those headed out to the water so that they can enjoy the sun and sand as safely as possible amid the coronavirus health crisis.
Those at the beach are not only asked to maintain at least 6 feet of social distancing, but families or household groups of 10 or less are asked to separate by a minimum of 12 feet from the nearest "camp" or group.
Face coverings should be kept with you at all times in case there are instances where you are unable to social distance properly. Following restrictions will allow the beaches to stay open this summer and keep everyone relatively safe.
