Weymouth Man Accused Of Killing Father Held Without Bail
Prosecutors accused William Walling Jr. of suffocating is father with a plastic bag.
WEYMOUTH, MA — The Weymouth man charged in the killing of his father on Saturday was held without bail at a remote hearing at Quincy District Court on Monday.
Prosecutors said that William Walling Jr., 37, suffocated his father with a plastic bag, and intended to bury the body in the Lochmere Avenue home's backyard of the home they shared, according to the Associated Press. Prosecutors said that William Walling Sr., 61, was found dead with a plastic bag over his on Saturday.
District Attorney Michael Morrissey said on Sunday that family members went to the residence to check on the well-being of the elder Walling, and that the scene they encountered caused them to to call 911.

Walling Sr. was pronounced dead at the scene. Prosecuters said that Weymouth police found a wheel barrow, a hole in the backyard and a receipt from a home improvement store for saws and a 40-pound bag of lye.
Walling Jr. is due back in court on July 8.
