Weymouth Man Charged With Murder In Father's Death

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Weymouth man was charged with murder after police said he killed his 61-year-old father.

Around 7 p.m., Saturday, William Walling Jr., 37, was arrested after family went to the father and son's home on Lochmere Avenue to check their well-being and called 911, police said.

Officers found the younger Walling in front of the home. Police said the father was found inside and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from South Shore Hospital.

Walling Jr. was scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court Monday.
