Weymouth School Superintendent Leaving District
Superintendent Jennifer Curtis-Whipple spent her entire 25-year education career in the district, beginning as a kindergarten teacher.
WEYMOUTH, MA — After more than four years at the helm of the school district, Weymouth Superintendent Jennifer Curtis-Whipple announced she's leaving her post at the beginning of next year.
In an email to parents and faculty sent Wednesday, Curtis-Whipple said she made the choice to leave for "professional growth and family."
"This has been a hard decision," Curtis-Whipple said. "I have been with Weymouth Public Schools since 1995, and all the staff are truly part of my family. "It has been an honor and a privilege to collaboratively work with staff and families towards achieving educational goals for all students. I will always be grateful for the support of my colleagues, school friends, families and students that have made WPS a wonderful place to work."
