Weymouth, South Shore Brace For High Winds, Coastal Flooding
Forecasters are calling for 2-3 inches of rain with some areas receiving 4 inches and wind gusts of up to 70 mph.

WEYMOUTH, MA — The short of it is that Friday is going to be a bad day to be near the water and the coast on the South Shore.
A massive storm is expected to hit the state and bring flooding, high waves, and dangerous winds to the area. As such, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch, high wind warning, and a coastal flood warning. That means there's a high potential for power loss, flooding, and structural damage.

The Impact Will Be Bad
Matt Noyes of NBC Boston noted on Twitter that this storm will be different from the Jan. 4 storm. This one has more wave energy from offshore and three tide cycles instead of one. That means a higher poential for damage.
This event will be different from the January 4 storm in two big ways: more wave energy coming from offshore and THREE tide cycles instead of one and done. Both equate to increased damage potential.
