Weymouth's Atlas Alarm Joins American Alarm

WEYMOUTH, MA — Two local security companies are now one, according to a recent announcement.

Atlas Alarm of Weymouth announced on their website that they have been acquired by American Alarm of Arlington. Under the deal Atlas will use the American Alarm name and there will be no disruption of service. The former Atlas team remains in place at the Weymouth location serving their customers.

“After many months of planning to secure the future of our company for the benefit of our customers and employees, my family and I have decided to partner with American Alarm and Communications of Arlington, Massachusetts. American Alarm is a family business that’s now led by the second generation of the Sampson family. We share the same values of honesty, integrity, following-through on promises, and most importantly, putting the customer first,” Atlas Alarm President Michael Rich wrote in a letter to customers.

Atlas Alarm was founded in 1945.
