Weymouth's Main Street Grille Could Be Coming Down
The building is one of five the restaurant's co-owner is looking to demolish to build a mixed-use development.

WEYMOUTH, MA – Five properties on Weymouth's Main Street could be coming down to make way for a five-story mixed-use building, according to the Patriot Ledger. That could spell the end for Main Street Grille, which is located at 1400 Main St. and is one of the buildings developer Chris DiMambro is including in his proposal.
DiMambro co-owns Main Street Grille and said he would be open to using the first-floor space of the new development for a restaurant to replace it, the Patriot Ledger reported. DiMambro also wants to tear down a former mixed-use building at 1404 Main St., houses at 1414 and 1430 Main St. and Richard's Auto Service at 1420 Main St. to build the development.
The complex, Colony Station, would have 107 one-bedroom apartments, 46 two-bedroom apartments and 7,000 square feet of commercial space, as well as a mix of garage and outside parking, according to the Ledger. The zoning board of appeals will continue to discuss the proposal at its meeting on June 27.
