What's Open, Closed On New Year's Day In Weymouth

WEYMOUTH, MA — Weymouth Town Hall be closed for the long weekend and reopen Jan. 2. Curbside trash and recycling pickup will be delayed one day during the week of Jan. 1.

Schools will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Here's a list of what else is opened and closed on New Year's Day in Weymouth:

• Libraries: Closed
• Post Office: Closed
• Restaurants: Open at owner's discretion
• Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
• Supermarkets: Open at owner's discretion
• Liquor stores: Open
• Banks: Closed
• Gas stations: Open
• Movie theaters: Open

The MBTA will be running an altered schedule on New Year's Eve and on a Sunday schedule on New Year's Day.
