Here are five things to know for Wednesday, Aug. 7 in Winchester:

1. Police log: In the latest Winchester police log, there are reports about a car slamming into a MBTA bus and also a BMX bicycle stolen from a swim and tennis club.

2. Local forecast: It is expected to be mostly sunny, with temperatures peaking in the high 70s during the day before temperatures drop to a low in the low 60s overnight.

3. In case you missed it: An Orange Leaf frozen yogurt store is expected to open in Winchester this year.

4. Meetings: The EFPBC meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Town Hall in the Mystic Valley Room, according to the town website. The Winchester Capital Planning Committee meets at 7 p.m. at Town Hall in the Board of Selectmen’s Room, the site adds.

5. Game on! Seniors can play Texas Hold'em poker at 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Jenks Senior Center website.
