"City Kids" Assist City of Boston in Allston Cleanup Project

2019 "Love Your Block" spring cleanup is underway

BOSTON, MA (May 3, 2019) – City Kids, a youth education nonprofit program developed by City Realty, joined the City of Boston at the Jackson/Mann School in Allston for the 2019 "Love Your Block" Corporate Day of Spring Cleanup. The goal of this program, launched by Mayor Walsh's office, is to unite neighbors and communities through physical service, engagement and youth development.

A dozen City Realty employees joined Conor Newman, the liaison to Allston and Brighton for the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services. The group worked to spruce up public areas outside of the Jackson/Mann School to improve its appearance for students, and residents alike. They assisted in cleaning up trash, and laying new mulch around green spaces and trees.

This is the latest example of the City Kids mission to empower the students of Boston and beyond by providing educational resources and support. Since its inception, City Kids has donated more than 1,000 computers to local schools and educational programs. City Kids also provides unique experiences, such as an annual surf camp, with the goal of sparking intellectual curiosity among young students.
