Donald Robinson, 86, of Winchester
Don enjoyed traveling, tennis, skiing and was an avid reader. Most of all he liked fixing things for other people.

WINCHESTER, MA—Donald Joseph Robinson 86, of Winchester, MA passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2016. Don was the 3rd of 9 children born to the late Joseph and Flossie Robinson of Pembroke, NH. Beloved husband of Lynn Aitkens Robinson happily married 66 years.
Loving father of the late Donald J. Robinson, James S. Robinson and wife Ginger of Mineral, VA, Victoria S. Robinson and spouse Dena Caradimitropoulo of Boxborough. Beloved grandfather of Joseph and Lara Caradimitropoulo of Boxborough, Beth Cherilyn Robinson of Charlottesville, VA. Dear brother of Howard Robinson of Pembroke, NH, Thomas Robinson of Dublin, NH, Beverly Ingalls and husband Robert of Kingston, NH., JoAnn Menard and husband Roger of Allenstown, NH., Cheryl Sanderson of Concord, NH. Don is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins plus two adorable great granddaughters, Elise and Cate.

Don spent his youth in NH before attending Tufts University graduating with a degree in Physical Chemistry and then moving to Maryland with his young family. He eventually earned a Master’s of science degree and a Doctorate degree from the University of Maryland majoring in Environmental Science. Don’s last 20 working years were spent with The Cabot Corporation here in Boston. He was the corporate Director of Environmental Affairs and traveled the world keeping Cabot’s manufacturing plants in compliance with local environmental laws.
Don enjoyed traveling, tennis, skiing and was an avid reader. Most of all he liked fixing things for other people. He also wrote several books on our family genealogy.

A memorial service celebrating Don’s life is planned for Wednesday June 22nd at 11am at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St., Winchester. Interment into the Columbarium niche wall will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
