MIAA Selects Field For Super 8 Hockey Tournament
Winchester will learn its seeding and opponent after Monday's play-in games.
The MIAA selected the field for the 2019 Super 8 hockey tournament Saturday, with Arlington being the lone Middlesex League team to make the field. The top seed is defending Super 8 champion BC High.
Ten teams were selected and the last four will compete in play-in games Monday and become the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds. Duxbury will play Xaverian at 5 followed by St. Mary's vs. Marshfield at 7. Both games are at the Chelmsford Forum in Billerica.
Following the play-in games the MIAA will seed the Division 1 North tournament, including Winchester. The Sachems finished the season 14-7.
